She appeared on Detroit's Fox 2 News Morning to talk about the "Silent Scream" movie premiere that was held at the Riviera Cinema in Farmington Hills on July 13, and by popular demand was shown again August 18.
Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Mallory.
Hi Kimberly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I realize today that God has a calling on my life. From the death of my mother, at such an early age; I’m still standing.
From a suicide attempt; I’m still standing.
From the horrors of a 16-year drug addiction; I’m still standing.
From mental and physical abuse that I’ve had to endure; I’m still standing.
From the emotional feelings of abandonment; I’m still standing.
From being raped, beaten, stabbed, and thrown in an alley and left for dead; I’m still standing.
From being homeless, cold and hungry; I’m still standing.
From eating out of garbage cans, and begging for food; I’m still standing.
I had to start my life over again when I stopped using drugs at the age of 42, but I’m still standing.
Never ever will I give up because God never gave up on me and I may not be where I want to be in life, but I thank God I’m not where I used to be because I’m still standing.
Today I am an Author, Motivational Speaker, Chaplain, Actress, Front-line Worker, and a TV Host. I went back to school at the age of 50 and received my BA graduating with a 4.27 GPA.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Challenges: Being judged because of my past and not given the opportunity to truly shine like the star I was intended to be in many areas of my life.
Obstacles: Although it is no longer an obstacles because I have learned to rise above them, was to allow how other people judged me, made me begin to doubt and judge myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The lessons that I’ve learned is to believe in yourself. It’s never too late to become what God has intended you to be. Never give up… No Matter What!!!
